CarLa Barros has been working in the audiovisual market for 20 years and since 2010 she directs content for TV, internet and advertising films. With great experience in nonfiction, Carla dedicated her professional career directing and formatting numerous reality shows such as, “The Circle Brasil” (Netflix), “A Queen is Born” (Netflix), “Batalha dos Confeiteiros” (Record), “Let Me Dance" (GNT), "Less is Too Much" (Discovery H&H), among others. In 2018, her first documentary feature “Lugar de Mulher #sqn” was aired on GNT channel. In the documentary "Mari Weickert" dives deep into the greatest taboo of the female universe: Were women born to be mothers?
she Graduated in ADVERTISING & MARKETING at ESPM. Studied cinema in London at the London Film Academy and also studied acting in New York at Susan Batson Studio, LLC focusing on directing and preparing actors. Her short film, "Sara & Mimi", starring Laura Cardoso, at the Worldfest-Houston International Film Festival, awarded best direction and also best film and best script at the New Jersey Rahway International Film Festival.
